Small town....small hospital

So tonight we had our tour of the hospital where Abigail will be born. Maybe I'm just used to city life, but wow it's tiny. There were 6 rooms total - for labor/delivery and mommy/baby care! SIX!! Elliot's hospital had 2 separate wings! There were a total of 3 nurses on duty - and one was a student nurse. They were all very pleasant and friendly, I know this because in the half hour it took us to tour the (ahem) 20 feet of space - none of them were busy- they just chatted with us. But here's the clincher - the head nurse showed us the nursery, ensuing conversation between the nurse and myself:
Nurse: " Here's the nursery, we really don't use it much"
Me: "really? So, can mom's send the babies to the nursery?"
Nurse: "Oh, well yes we babysit occasionally"
Me: (thought in my head) What really is the point of staying in the hospital for 3 days, if I can't send the precious bundle to the nurses to take care of at 3am?

Enough about that - here's a token Elliot picture for all who love him and can't get enough!
