9 months

Today you are 9 months old. I can't believe I was pregnant this time last year- it seems like you have always been with us. Besides taking more and more independent steps each day, you love to blow spit bubbles, clap your hands, wave, give hugs, dance and bounce. You love bouncing- in the bounce house, on the beds, or sofa- sitting down you jiggle up and down and just laugh. You wear your emotions on your sleeve- and talk about it...happy, sad, mad, frustrated- you let us know in a babbling/sometimes crying way. You're incredibly loving, and want to snuggle up to us all the time. You've started to get upset when daddy leaves in the morning, and will go to the door, pull yourself up, stand on tiptoe and look out the window, and talk. You love to eat. You are eating all solid foods and will try anything I give you. Haven't given up your love of nursing either, which may help the fact that you still have 4 rolls on your arms and tummy. But I love nursing you and am enjoying that time with you. Your hair is getting longer, and i have no idea what to do with it since it is all different lengths- and you love putting food into it. You haven't picked up on any signs we've tried with you, but you do raise both arms high up into the air and bounce when you want picked up. You are still saying mama, and you know that's me. You are a better sleeper than your brother- which I'm thankful for, and hopefully you'll start sleeping longer at night. Still no teeth, and you have good and bad weeks with the teething- love to chew on anything standing still, including mom and dad. A new favorite game is taking things out and putting them back in to the toy bins. You're climbing now too- up into Elliot's chair, onto the sofa cushions, up steps, and you enjoy it immensely. I've finally gotten through a touch and feel book with you, so maybe you will find a love for books after all. you follow Elliot around everywhere and still have no love for strangers. You are quite fun to be around and make us smile all the time.

The doc thinks you're a smart one, and declared you to be healthy and not too chubby :)

Height: 26 3/4 25%
Weight: 19lbs 9oz 65%

Elliot at 9 months weighed 20 lbs, but was 2 inches taller - this explains why you fit into his 9 month pjs but fill them out much more than he ever did!
