Happy Birthday to our little guy! We celebrated this weekend with a dinosaur party and all his friends. Elliot had a wonderful time running around and playing with the boys. Today was rather rainy, so we hung out and got to skype with grandma & grandpa smith, and also grandma king, aunt kara and uncle charlie. Thank you all for making Elliot's birthday so special!
Elliot you are such a little boy- from your running, jumping, climbing crazyiness to your love for dirt, trucks and bugs. We are having fun listening to you tell stories, and pretend to be astronauts and dinosaurs. You are still very reserved in new situations (and have a fear of men with facial hair- maybe we shouldn't have made you sit on santa's lap) but have a grand time once you warm up. You find alot of things "scary" so you haven't seen too many movies or tv shows - Backyardigans is a favorite right now. You love playing with your friends and neighbors and are excited about going to school in the fall. You can dress and undress yourself- you like to pick out your undies, but other than that you'll wear whatever I give you to put on. We made it through potty training and I usually hear "mama I need some privacy - get Abbie!" several times a day. You know your abcs and can almost count to 20. Your favorite number is 5- snuggle me 5 more minutes dada, I want 5 crackers please mama, just 5 more minutes mama! You can write your name with some help remembering the order of the letters. Art in general has a 5 - 10 minute attention span, and then you are on to the next thing. Coloring in the lines has no meaning for you so far, but you love scissors. You have a very sweet and gentle side- that pokes through all the rough and tough boy side every now and then. You love to make your sister laugh and give her hugs and kisses. You still have a hard time waking up and want to snuggle in the mornings or after naps. You ask daddy "how's your day?" when he comes home from work. Whenever you get in trouble, you ask for a hug and kiss. And at age three, you still wake up at least once every night and come to our room. I can't wait until you're 16...I'm going to wake you up early every weekend...payback my son, payback. love mama and dada
And here are the pictures... enjoy!

OK, so what's skype? I know it's not an island off the north shore of Scotland. It appears to be a verb and my new laptop has a 'skype launcher'. Perhaps you all were throwing things at each other.
In the future, if you're going to use words that aren't common usage, please define.
Looks like B-day was a success and not too over the top, as I vaguely remember the past.
