Two years ago we brought into this world a cute, cuddly little bundle of joy, beginning our adventure in parenthood. Today I look at my little boy and ask myself, What the heck happened? How did that little baby develop Evil Knievel daredevil skills, jumping off his bed like a Siberian flying squirrel, pillow clutched in his hands, aiming straight for my head. Was I surprised? To say the least. Was Elliot at all phased by the thought that daddy wasn't even remotely prepared to receive an airborne toddler flying across the room. I don't think it entered his mind. It's just amazing how much things change in such a short period of time.
It was wonderful to hold that new baby boy in my arms, and fantasize about how he was going to turn out. To imagine what his personality was going to be like. It's been a great surprise to witness it. He's Fearless. He hates getting anything on his hands. He's developed a wonderful new laugh in the last week that is a little hard to explain. It sounds like Roscoe P. Coltrain's laugh from the Dukes of Hazzard, but he scrunches his face up to the point where at first I wondered if he was hurt. And he's just laughing all the time. It's been great to see him grow from that little tiny baby into this wacky, crazy little boy.
We had our Birthday party for him today, and he had a lot of his playgroup and neighborhood friends over to celebrate.

Reading yours and Heather's descriptions of Elliot's laugh is so fun -- I can't wait to hear it in person!
Happy Birthday, Mr. Giggles!!!
