Eight years ago...
Eight years ago, I got a phone call. I was working at a YMCA in Cincinnati and on my way to a staff meeting the girl at the front desk handed me the phone. It was Aaron, and all he said was, "I did it, I joined." He had just enlisted in the Army. We had only been dating for about 9 months, and my thought was... this should make our relationship a tad more interesting. Oh boy did it ever! So this week, he is officially a civilian once again, as a chapter of our life comes to a close. This video is a tribute to the soldier I married, I love you. And to all of our military friends - thank you - your sacrifices are never far from our thoughts and our prayers are with you always.

That was so awesome!!! Thanks to Aaron for serving our country and to you for supporting while he did it. You made me cry--I am so patriotic I cry every time I hear the anthem but seriously thanks to youboth and best of luck as civilians. Love y'all :)
That was a really nice video, Heather. I had never seen most of those pictures, and I really enjoyed seeing them. Thanks to Aaron for all of his hard work for his country.
Aaron has spent so
much time away from home
serving his country, and
all of us, and we are very
grateful and proud of him.
I loved the video and I
think that it is a wonderful
tribute to Aaron..
and he will make a great civilian!
Love,
Mom
Thankyou for the beautiful video Heather! I remember those early mornings seeing Aaron off ( it was always FREEZING!) Love Mary
I am thrilled to hear the news. I always worried a bit that the Army would come calling at the last second.
THANKS BRO! (You now have a lot of cool tough guy photos to show off to Elliot.)
