For the first time in a looong time...ah so nice. Elliot has been helping me make cookies this week for valentine's day and is really growing up. today he did the dishes and swept the kitchen floor with me - very sweet. Then he'll turn around, grab a dinosaur and scare the pants off his sister by yelling "roar" in her face. You have to find your moments of sweetness in the face of all the boyness. And next week we go to check out preschool! Can you believe it? Me neither. As for Abbie, she finally took some bites of sweet potatoes yesterday with out making a "are you kidding me" face. Let's hope that continues, I'm ready to move on from nursing every 2 hours around the clock :) Of course the teething has been a bother-I finally saw a little white dot poke through her gums, so maybe the worst of it is behind now (well until the next one comes in). She has managed to pull herself up a couple of times in her crib, and now will try and pull herself up on anyone who stands still long enough. She's still rocking on all fours, occasionally moving foward or backwards, but I can leave her on a blanket and it takes a good 5-10 minutes before she's off of it. It's sunny today so we are going outside to play - yea! Love sunny days :)

I have been playing Abbie videos for myself for the last two weeks almost everyday, just itching to be there and watch her interact with everyone! She is SO beautiful and alive and aware! I am so appreciative that you have these on the internet so I can show them off and view them any time I want.
As for Elliot, my goodness, he has turned into a young man almost! I am going to Disneyland the week before I come so will search for appropriate manly toys and delights for the girl! Can't wait!
I love that video of Abbie -- she is such a pretty little girl! It sounds like things are going well, and hopefully you can get a little rest now and then! Elliot sure is growing fast, and that was super-nice of him to help you bake cookies and clean... I suspect THAT is a behavior that won't last too long! Take care you guys, and have a great Valentine's Day!
Love,
Shauna
