Swimming and underpants

We took the kids to the pool this weekend- Abbie's first time swimming. She didn't seem to really care one way or the other, and just wanted to chew on anything available. Elliot loves the water, as long as he doesn't have to get his head wet. We had fun and then the kids both took a 2 hour nap prompting daddy to tell me we should do this every weekend.



Now for the underpants - yes we are attempting to wear big boy underwear. I probably should have read some books and prepared for this momentous occasion - but then I ran out of diapers on Friday, and so we blindly began the voyage into potty training. Granted Elliot has had a potty since around this time last year, and moved on to using the big potty this summer, but this is our first attempt at going sans diaper. So far, things are moving along ok. We have been accident free this morning - which is good - and Elliot even ran to the potty himself shouting "pee pee potty....keep hotrod dry!" Hotrod (actually snotrod, but Aaron doesn't like that name) is one of the cars from the disney movie, and so far are the favorite pair of undies to wear. So hopefully we will continue progressing toward diaper freedom and big boy hood :)
